Melody,

You are exactly right. Promises about cuts in 2013 and beyond are meaningless. We need to focus on the 2012 budget. www.ipetitions.com/petitions/cutspendingnow

Hats off to the United States Supreme court at least for now, for protecting working poor from the efforts of Virginias Republican rich. Whose primary purpose is to hide behind their own interpretation of the constitution and the hell with all other interpretations so they can suppress the sick and working poor. The Democrats will spend us into debit for eternity and the republicans will protect the tax benefits of the rich and to hell with the poor. What happen to our country?

This is a GREAT link! Thanks for that!

It is just so very odd that many of the, 'old timers' just don't remember these types of incidents happening.

The last time there was a fishkill this large in the Chesapeake was in the mid 70's. It also seems to be the last time we had weather this cold as well. My fishing buddies say when it gets colder the fish just go deeper, otherwise winter would kill all the fish.

Could it all be coincidence, sure; but that is one heck of a coincidence. Why havent' we heard of a whole bunch of birds dying every time we shoot off fireworks? Also, I'm told Beebe doesn't even have an overly large display, nor was this years any different then previous years.

In regard to the Beebe incident, I am left really wondering about that cluster of over 400 earthquakes in the area.

This was an unusual event, partly because of the large number, but mostly because it happened over a town so it gets noticed a lot more.

Look at the USGS records for the last 15 years, mass deaths do happen all the time, and events of this scale (or larger) happen every so often, they just don't get media attention.

Why would any person with an ounce of common sense believe that a anti capitalist, neo Marxist would care anything about fixing the free market economy? His supporters aren't that bright. This is what makes my head want to explode. I can't stand the deception of pseudo financial experts reporting that GDP growth is real when it was produced entirely from government spending. These are suppose to be the experts, yet they have taken leave of their senses. Of course the housing market would grow as long as the $8,000 first time home credit is in place, but what will happen once its no longer around? From the fake GDP numbers to the fake housing numbers, it is like saying "a person is doing very well on life support". It's a teachable no duh moment at best. The sub prime housing market was the first domino to fall in helping to create this mess. Fixing unemployment is the only way stabalize the housing market and stem the rate of foreclosures. Obama is more concerned about government run health care and "green and shovel ready jobs" though.
